Dissemination of Application-Specific Information using the OSPF Routing Protocol

چکیده
This paper describes a mechanism for disseminating nodespecific attributes between network routers that originate from external applications. Our approach extends the OSPF protocol daemon such that external applications can use the LSA distribution mechanism for the dissemination of application-specific information. External applications are capable of being synchronized with the OSPF-internal link-state database and for that reason can obtain the underlying network topology.
